Hydrogen Science Center of Shanghai Jiaotong University Holds Shanghai Hydrogen Medicine Innovation Seminar
On the afternoon of March 28, 2021, the Shanghai Hydrogen Medicine Innovation Seminar held by the Hydrogen Science Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was held at the home of Shanghai academicians, building 6, Shanghai Science Hall.
Hongming Cao, director of Biotechnology and Medicine Department of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, and Jianjie Dong, deputy director of Biotechnology and Medicine Department of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, were present for guidance. Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Navy Medical University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and Shanghai Changhai Hospital, Shanghai Tongji Hospital, Shanghai Changzheng Hospital, Shanghai Children's Hospital, Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Tenth People's Hospital, Renji Medical College Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University Medical College, 905th Navy hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation army, Shanghai First People's Hospital, etc Relevant experts and scholars from the hospital attended the seminar. Wenjiang Ding, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of Hydrogen Science Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, presided over the meeting.
On behalf of the Hydrogen Science Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, academician Wenjiang Ding expressed his thanks to all the leading experts for attending the meeting. Academician Ding introduced the hydrogen medicine research plan of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Hydrogen Science Center, and said that the development of hydrogen medicine needs the joint efforts of the government, scientific research institutes and employees. The hydrogen science center can provide the patented technology material micro nano magnesium hydride, which can trigger new ideas for hydrogen medicine research, and make great contributions to the development of hydrogen medicine.
Director Hongming Cao introduced the future plan of Biomedicine of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, and put forward constructive suggestions for the development of hydrogen medicine. He said that the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission will fully support the research and development of hydrogen medicine, and expects the majority of basic medical researchers to brainstorm, innovate and make breakthroughs, and jointly push the development of hydrogen medicine to a new height.
Deputy director Lianyan Dong pointed out in her speech that in recent years, people from all walks of life have paid more and more attention to the research of hydrogen medicine. She thanked to academician Wenjiang Ding for building an exchange platform for hydrogen medicine research. Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission expects major hospitals and universities to work together to promote the development of hydrogen medicine.
Eleven experts reported and shared the role and mechanism of hydrogen in anti depression, anti radiation, metabolic diseases, reproductive system damage, deafness, rhinitis, eye diseases, skin diseases and kidney diseases, as well as the application of micro nano magnesium hydride in the field of hydrogen medicine.
Then, the experts and scholars attending the meeting deeply discussed the research focus and development direction of hydrogen medicine in the future.
At the end of the meeting, academician Wenjiang Ding stressed that hydrogen medicine research needs to be carried out in a multi-disciplinary way and focus on the target. He believed that with the strong support of Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, hydrogen medicine, as a broad-spectrum innovative treatment, will help Shanghai to create a source of science and technology innovation with global influence.
This conference not only extensively exchanged the current situation of hydrogen medicine research and development, deeply discussed the future development direction of hydrogen medicine, but also provided a win-win cooperation platform for experts and scholars in the field of hydrogen medicine, and jointly promoted the innovation and development of hydrogen medicine.
