On March 3, the 11th "Most Popular Teacher" award ceremony of the SMSE was held in Conference Room 308 of Xu Zuyao Building. Secretary of the Party Committee of the SMSE Sun Lizhen, award-winning teachers, all members of the Teaching Committee of the SMSE, and student representatives attended the award ceremony. Zhu Shenmin, vice president of undergraduate teaching, presided over the meeting.

 The "Most Popular Teacher" of the SMSE has been awarded for eleven consecutive years. The award aims to award teachers who are dedicated to their work, rigorous, persistent and effective in teaching, and well received by students and peers. The following ten teachers were selected as the "Most Popular Teachers" after screening candidates, determining the list of candidates and selecting students: Chen Ke, Deng Tao, Gu Jiajun, Guo Qiang, Guo Yiping, Li Zhuguo, Wang Xiaodong, Wu Xueyan, Zhang Peng and Zhou Weimin (in alphabetical order by last name). Sun Lizhen, secretary of the SMSE, and Yuan Guangyin, director of the teaching committee, presented the awards to the winning teachers.

On behalf of the SMSE, Secretary Sun Lizhen expressed her warm congratulations to all the teachers who won the awards, and expressed her heartfelt thanks and respect to all the teachers for their hard work on the front line of teaching. Then, she emphasized that teachers are the guides on the way of students' growth, they teach and nurture with their hearts, pass on knowledge and lead students to the future. It is with their hard work and selfless dedication that the SMSE has achieved excellent results in the cultivation of talents. The "Most Popular Teacher" has been selected for eleven consecutive years, which is an important initiative of the college centering on talent cultivation. The award is meaningful and represents the students' true recognition of teachers. We hope to increase the publicity and expand the influence of this activity in the future.

   In recent years, the college has vigorously enhanced teachers' sense of responsibility and honor through various methods: organizing teaching competitions for young teachers and teaching innovation competitions for teachers to build a communication platform for teachers to share teaching skills and exchange teaching methods; organizing activities such as observation of demonstration courses, faculty-student symposiums and teaching lectures and training to give full play to the role of excellent teachers in passing on their experience; strengthening publicity and reporting of excellent teachers to stimulate teachers' enthusiasm for teaching and strengthen the role of demonstration and leadership. The development of these activities has played a positive role in improving the teaching level of teachers and the quality of talent training.
