Introduction

Biographical Information

Qianli CHEN received her doctoral degree from ETH Zurich in 2012, where she discovered the effect of epitaxial strain on the proton conductivity, which has opened up a new route for the design of efficient electrochemical devices such as fuel cells. Shortly after joining the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz as a postdoctoral researcher, she was awarded an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship to study the electronic structure and interface chemistry on quantum dots. She joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute as a lecturer in 2015. Dr. Chen is the winner of Young Scientist Prize of the Swiss Neutron Scattering Society in 2014, and Shanghai Science and Technology Commission’s Young Scientific Talent YANG FAN Program in 2016.

Research Interests

Ionic and electronic conduction, electronic structure of materials for energy and optoelectronic applications.

Teaching
