Biographical Information

  Prof. Zhao graduated from the Department of Material Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) with a bachelor’s degree in 1994 and received his master and doctoral degree at the Department of Plasticity Technology of SJTU in 1999 and 2002 respectively.

  From 2006 to 2011, Prof. Zhao served as the deputy head of the Department of Plasticity Technology. At present, he works as the vice dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering in SJTU, as well as the executive deputy director of the Institute of Forming Technology and Equipment. His academic titles include the member of advisory board of the International Cold Forging Group (ICFG), deputy director of the National Forging and Stamping Technical Standardization Committee, senior member of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, director of the China Society for Plasticity of Technology (CSTP), etc.

  In addition, Prof. Zhao has published more than 60 papers as well as more than 3 monographs, and contributed to formulating and revising 10 standards in national and mechanical industries.
