Introduction
Mingyu Gong, assistant professor (tenure-track), joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2021. He was funded by several high-level overseas talents programs. Gong’s research interests focus on high-performance metal-based materials for functional and structural propose, and is expertise in multi-scale modeling and simulation. Gong has published more than 30 SCI-indexed papers, including more than 10 first or corresponding authored papers on PNAS, Acta Materialia, npj Computational Materials, etc. He is the reviewer for Acta Materialia, Scripta Materialia, etc.
Biographical
Mingyu Gong received his B.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2015, and his Ph.D. in Mechanical and Materials Engineering in University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA) in 2019. From 2020.1 to 2021. 6, Gong worked as Postdoctoral Associate in University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA). He joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2021.7, as an assistant professor (tenure-track) in School of Materials Science and Engineering.
Interests
Mingyu Gong’s research interests focus on interface science and engineering to improve electrical properties, mechanical properties and irradiation tolerance of metal-based materials.
Biographical
Mingyu Gong received his B.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2015, and his Ph.D. in Mechanical and Materials Engineering in University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA) in 2019. From 2020.1 to 2021. 6, Gong worked as Postdoctoral Associate in University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA). He joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2021.7, as an assistant professor (tenure-track) in School of Materials Science and Engineering.
Interests
Mingyu Gong’s research interests focus on interface science and engineering to improve electrical properties, mechanical properties and irradiation tolerance of metal-based materials.
