INTRODUCTION
Qianjun HE is a professor and academic leader of the Center of Hydrogen Science of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), appointed a Distinguished Professor of Shenzhen Research Institute of SJTU and the Director of the R&D Center, and awarded a Marie Curie Fellow by EU. He has engaged in the research of biomedical nanomaterials for >20 years, pioneered a unique research field of Gas Nanomedicine, originally discovered the biological target of hydrogen molecule, developed the first hydrogen bio-probe, and proposed a concept of hydrogenothermal therapy for the first time. He has published 100+ papers on international leading journals including Science Advances, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Angewandte Chemie, National Science Review, and Chemical Society Reviews, achieving an h-index of 58. He was recognized as a “Highly Cited Researcher” in 2018 and as a “World’s Top 2% Scientists” with Career Scientific Impact in 2022-2022. He was awarded lots of prizes including EU Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship, "LU JiaXi" Youth Talent Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2018 Science Stars of China, etc. He is sitting the Associate Editors of Medical Gas Research, and Chemical Synthesis.

RESEARCH INTERESTS
(1) Innovative nanomedicines for precision gas therapy, involving therapeutic gas molecules including H2, CH4, NO, CO and H2S, targeted gas delivery, controlled gas release, and combination therapy based them
(2) Gas activation for tissue engineering: Stem cell therapy, bone and cartilage repair, wound healing, myocardial infarction recovery, etc.
(3) Gas regulation of diseased microenvironments, involving tumor microenvironment and arthritic synovial microenvironment, and the regulations of immunity, inflammation, intestinal flora, and hypoxia
(4) Nano-catalytic gas medicine: the development of photo-/sono-/eletro-/magneto-/microwave-catalytic gas-releasing nanocatalysts, and their biomedical applications
(5) Biological mechanisms of H2 and CH4 and them-based rational drug design
