Biographical Information
Dr Bin Lu is an Associate Professor in the Institute of Forming Technology and Equipment, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He graduated from Peking University with BSc degrees in both Economics and Mechanics (2004). He obtained his MSc degree in Manufacturing System Engineering with distinction (2006) and PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Queen’s University of Belfast, UK in December 2008. His PhD research was focused on die shape optimisation for net-shape forging of aeroengine blade supported by UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council in close collaboration with Rolls-Royce. After finished the PhD study, he joined the Institute of Forming Technology and Equipment, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2009.
